David and Marina have executed dream homes, luxury high-rises, and other buildings across five continents with work displayed in institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and The Museum of the City of New York. Their expansive portfolio includes million-dollar interiors; beach-front mansions; 60-story luxury residential towers in New York, Canada, and China; Montreal's largest restaurant; acclaimed art installations; galleries; offices; and even campus buildings. Between the two, they have won numerous design and architecture competitions at national and international levels. David's co-design for a housing tower in Mexico City garnished first place in the international competition and was subsequently published in the book Structuralism Reloaded. He was also part of the design team of the winning entry of the 2012 MoMA art installation competition. David and Marina's design for a Brooklyn Community Center was given an honorable mention, displayed in the Brooklyn Gallery, and also published.
The pair have also lectured at professional conferences and universities such as the Young Architect Conference, the Mediated City Conference, The New School for Design, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on the subjects of the design process, architecture, and urban design. David teaches architecture, interior design, and urban design at the university level, and the two are frequently invited to be guest panelists for design reviews.
Dedicated to helping clients and designers learn more about architecture and design, David and Marina host one of today’s top design podcasts, The Second Studio Design and Architecture Show™ which features interviews with building-industry leaders, design conversations, and guides to various architecture and interior design topics.
